Hokendauqua Chapter of Trout Unlimited announces its 2017 beginner’s fly tying course.

Classes are two hours each for a total of 16 hours and will be offered beginning 9:30 a.m. Jan. 7, 2017, and run for eight consecutive Saturdays through Feb. 28, 2017.

The classes will be in the cafeteria of the Northampton Area Middle School, Laubach Avenue, Northampton.

A step-by-step video presentation on the tying of each fly is shown before students start tying.

Instructors will then help each student.

Loaner tool kits are also available at no additional cost or bring your own.

The fee for the course includes all materials and a 108-page manual for each student.

Students age 18 and under and veterans may attend for free.
