Deborah K. Fleming, 59, of Allentown, formerly of Columbia, S.C., died Dec. 12, 2016, in ManorCare, West Allen, Allentown.
Born April 15, 1957, in Huntingdon, she was the daughter of the late Karl E. and Jean (Drye) Fleming.
A 1979 graduate of Clarion University with a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education, she taught in the Richland County School District One, Columbia, for 25 years before retiring in 2012.
Since her formal retirement, she was employed at the Barron Academy, Columbia.
A member of the Abbey Reformed United Church of Christ, Huntingdon, she was a former member of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls where she was a Grand Cross of Color recipient.
Her survivors include brothers David L. Fleming and his wife, Karen, with whom she resided, Dennis M. Fleming and his wife, Annemarie Cleary, of Leesburg, Va.; nieces Jennifer J. Fleming, Esq. of Atlanta, Ga., Neal and Claire Fleming of Leesburg, Va.; and beloved canine companion, Cleo.
Her memorial service will be 11 a.m. Dec. 16 at Union UCC, 5550 Route 873, Neffs, with the Rev. Kris P. Snyder-Samuelson officiating.
Family and friends may pay their respects 10-11 a.m. Friday in the church.
