Tigers beat Palisades
Northwestern Lehigh’s boys and girls basketball teams came up victorious on the opening night of Colonial League play for the 2016-17 season. Notre Dame (Green Pond) beat Catasauqua in both boys and girls action, while Salisbury’s teams both saw Bangor come back from early deficits to defeat the Falcons.

Northwestern-Palisades
A big third period by Northwestern produced a 47-42 Colonial League win over Palisades.
Leading the Tigers in their season debut was Rob Seyfried with a game-high 22 points, while Samuel Yadush followed with 17.
For the Pirates (0-3, 0-2), Tom Eichlin totaled 10 points.

For the Tigers, Gabrielle Sevrain led a balanced attack with 11 points, while Sydney Sevrain added eight.
