Edmund H. “Hank” Wilkinson, Sr., 87, of Macungie, died Nov. 21, 2016, with his family by his side in the In-Patient Hospice Unit of Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. He was the husband of the late Doris J. (Travis) Wilkinson. Born in Hokendauqua, he was a son of the late Clarence Edmund and Hazel B. (Saeger) Wilkinson.

He retired as a forklift operator for Kraft Foods after many years of service.

He was a proud member of the U.S. Army National Guard.

He had his own band, “The Sundowners” and was a former band member of “Crystal Countryside.” He shared the stage with many international acts over the years. He was an Alburtis Park Old Timer.

He is survived by a son. Edmund H. Jr. and his wife Lora, of Lehighton; daughter, Debra F., of Macungie; six grandchildren; two great-grandsons; one stepgreat-granddaughter; sister, Carol and her husband Woody Grim, of Allentown. He was predeceased by a daughter, Sharon A. Afflerbach and a brother, Duane.
