Thirteen students from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania (ESU) have been selected as national outstanding leaders and will be featured in the 2017 publication “Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.” Among them is ESU student Hayley Jackson, a junior from Bath majoring in communication sciences and disorders.
For more than 80 years, the “Who’s Who” publication has honored outstanding campus leaders for their scholastic, leadership and community achievements.
The campus nominating committee and the editors of the annual “Who’s Who” directory have recognized these students based on their academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and potential for continued success. They join an elite group of students selected from more than 1,000 institutions of higher learning in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and several foreign countries. Outstanding students have been honored in the annual directory since it was first published in 1934.
Through its years of serving higher education, Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges has become one of the most highly regarded and long-standing honors programs in the nation, having earned the overwhelming respect of college faculties and administrations. For the students - the outstanding campus leaders of the year - national recognition by the Who’s Who program marks a pinnacle of scholastic achievement.
