The Woman’s Club of Whitehall has named Cara Bonshak as its Girl of the Month for November.

Bonshak, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Bonshak of Whitehall, is a Whitehall High School senior.

A high honor roll student, she is a member of Student Council, Student Focus Group, Peer Mentoring Program, Student Athlete Council (school representative), Fellowship of Christian Athletes (president) and Zephyr Nation.

She is captain of the high school field hockey, soccer and softball teams.

Bonshak is a member of National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Science National Honor Society and Spanish National Honor Society.

She received the Daughters of the American Revolution Award.

Bonshak earned 2016 and 2015 All-EPC first-team honors for soccer; 2016 All-EPC second-team, 2015 All-EPC first-team and 2014 All-Area honorable mention honors for field hockey; and 2016 honorable mention honors for softball.

She was named Zephyr Academy Student of the Month in ninth grade, Athlete of the Month in May 2014 and Best Overall Athlete in 2013-14.

She is a Special Olympics volunteer and an altar server.

Certified in CPR and first aid, she also is a lifeguard.

Bonshak will continue her academic and field hockey career at Michigan State University.
