Irene Ann Gratzon, 97, of Boca Raton, Fla. and formerly of Catasauqua, died Nov. 12, 2016, at her home. She was the wife of Peter Gratzon for 72 years.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late William and Anna (Brasko) Kavalkovich.

She graduated from William Allen High School and the University of Pennsylvania.

She was a registered nurse in private duty in the Lehigh Valley until the age of 70.

She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, Catasauqua, for many years.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Dianne Singer; three grandchildren, Dr. Kimberly Dianne Singer, Alexis Rae Singer-Weaver and Christopher Michael Singer and his fiancee Brenda Borton; a son, Peter Jr.; and a grandson, Andrew Gratzon.

She was predeceased by three brothers, George, John and William; and a sister, Margaret Brett.
