‘The Best Christmas Pageant Ever’ to be held Dec. 2 and 3

The annual fall sports awards ceremony was held Nov. 18 to recognize all the teams and players have accomplished over the past few months. Varsity letter winners, team most valuable players and Eastern Pennsylvania Conference Scholar Athlete Nominees received their special letters, trophies and medals.

Some highlights from the fall sports season include an EPC North championship for the football team and District 11 titles for the girls cross country and volleyball teams.

At the District 11 cross country championship meet, Allentown Central Catholic High School junior Emily Deschler placed first overall and later won a fifth place medal at the state championship in Hershey. The girls cross country team finished eighth in Pennsylvania.

After winning the District 11 title, the girls volleyball team advanced to the state tournament, making it all the way to the finals Nov. 19. Defeating Somerset High School three sets to one, the Vikette volleyball team took home the 2016 PIAA Class 3A state volleyball championship.
