Emmaus High School’s SADD/Kid to Kid club, the advanced health class and the wellness fitness club attended a healthy living expo at Southern Lehigh High School Nov. 17. Students needed to come up with something for their “booth” that could help students be healthy, relaxed, make good choices and much more.

A computer science showcase will be held Dec. 1 immediately after parent/teacher conferences in rooms 366, 368 and 369.

Junior’s Gertrude Hawk orders will be available for pick up Dec. 5 in the auditorium lobby after school.

The Emmaus High School winter chorus concert will be held 7:30 p.m. Dec. 6.

Emmaus High School will host the National Honor Society Induction ceremony 6 p.m. Dec. 7 in the high school auditorium.

For any student who took the PSAT, there will be student information sessions Dec. 7 and 20. The online score report, its meaning and its interpretation will be discussed. Seats are limited. Students must sign up in the counseling office.

The EHS band will perform some sounds of the season at the winter band concert 7 p.m. Dec. 9 in the EHS auditorium.

Emmaus High School will dismiss students 11 a.m. Dec. 16 and 23.

The Pennsylvania School for Global Entrepreneurship at Lehigh University and the University of Pittsburgh Health Career Scholars Academy, former Governor’s School programs, are accepting applications for the 2017 summer programs. Current high school sophomores and juniors are encouraged to apply. Completed applications should be submitted by Jan. 18, 2017, to the counseling office.

Home Access Center is expanding its notification system to include texting. The new texting feature will become available at log in. Users can edit contact phone information to include the new fields, labeled AutoText 1, AutoText 2 and AutoText 3.

Parents are reminded to follow the student drop off procedures in the morning. An increasing number of parents are accessing the campus at traffic choke points, putting staff and students in danger.

Emmaus High School is working with Stabler Arena to finalize a graduation date. According to the school calendar, Emmaus High School graduation is tentatively scheduled June 11, 2017.
