NORTH WHITEHALL TWP Schneck House having cookie, toy candy sale on Dec. 11

The Upper Lehigh Historical Society will have a cookie and clear toy candy sale noon until sold out, Dec. 11 at the Schneck House, 5081 Route 873, Schnecksville.

Cookies may be selected, weighed and purchased at a per pound cost.

If you like to bake and want to help the historical society, donations of cookies, bread, cake and cupcakes may be dropped off at the Schneck House 1-3 p.m. Dec. 10 or after 9:30 a.m. Dec. 11.

This is the only fundraiser for the organization this year. The group needs volunteers to help in various ways.

Parkland High School Chorale will perform a holiday concert 7 p.m. Dec. 11 at Union United Church of Christ, Neffs.

This annual event is the perfect way to catch the Christmas spirit.

The concert is free, although an offering may be contributed to support the chorale.

Refreshments will be served after the program.

Children of St. John’s United Church of Christ, 1415 Rising Sun Road, Laury’s Station, will present the musical, “Jesus Means Christmas to Me” on Dec. 10.

The evening begins with a potluck dinner at 6 p.m. Then, the show starts at 7 p.m.

The night of fun and fellowship will be completed with dessert after the performance.

The program has many exciting songs offering a modern touch to classic Christmas favorites.

The audience is invited to sing along.

Union Lutheran Church, Schnecksville, will host a Happy Birthday, Jesus, party from 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. on Dec. 11,

Lunch will be served along with birthday cake and ice cream.

There will be a bouncy house, crafts and pinata, and a contest for the best festive attire.

The event is free, but participants are invited to support the outreach program for Jared Brown and DuPont Children’s Hospital.

Jared is a Parkland student who for many years has given away his Christmas gifts to the hospital.

Items such as craft supplies, books, markers, toiletries and small toys are being collected.

Union United Church of Christ, Neffs, invites the community to join an advent celebration at 10:45 a.m. Dec. 4 in fellowship hall.

Breakfast casseroles, fresh fruit and beverages will be served.

A Christmas carol sing and cookie share are included in this time of food, friendship and fun.
