Merry ’n’ meaningful! Heidelberg Union Church will present a Christmas Handbell Festival 11 a.m. Dec. 4.

All are invited to come together for a very special time of worship as the Concert Handbell Choir performs an exceptional arrangement of memorable Christmas carols.

Come share the joy of the season and spirit of Advent through scripture, song and word.

Cheer is here! On Dec. 18, the Lynnport Fire Company will have a Santa Breakfast between 9-11 a.m. Deadline to register is Dec. 5.

In addition to delicious breakfast foods, the day also includes a picture with Santa, prizes, games and crafts.

With the fire company in mind, don’t forget to order some hoagies for the holiday season.

It’s no secret that the Lynnport Fire Company makes its own large hoagies, including: Italian with or without onions, ham and cheese, tuna, and turkey.

Hoagies can be made on either white or wheat rolls.

Orders are due by Dec. 21 and may be picked up at the fire hall 11 a.m. Jan. 4, 2017.

Mark your calendar! Heidelberg Association for Retired Persons, better known as H.A.R.P., invites retirees to its annual Christmas party 11 a.m. Dec. 6 in Heidelberg Church’s Fellowship Hall.

All retirees from the community are encouraged to come in from the cold and enjoy a fun afternoon of food and festivities.

Remember, you do not need to be a Heidelberg Church member to participate.

Bring a covered dish to share, along with a small cost wrapped exchange gift so you can play the game called, “Now you have it. Now you don’t.”
