LEHIGH VALLEY ZOO, Schnecksville, needs volunteers to play character roles for its upcoming Winter Lights Spectacular 5:30 to 10 p.m. every Wednesday through Sunday, except Christmas Eve and Christmas Day now through Jan. 1, 2017. MORAVIAN HISTORICAL SOCIETY, Bethlehem, is seeking volunteers to help to index historic church registers in an online database. This requires volunteering onsite and having some experience with a computer. With church registers dating back to the 1700s and later, this database will include baptisms, confirmations, marriages, burials, ordinations and removals. It is the first big step in making the contents of these registers accessible to users across the world. Help us preserve history one name at a time.
