Dr. Alaa-Eldin Mira, Chief of Geriatric Medicine at St. Luke’s University Health Network, has been appointed Medical Director at Holy Family Manor, a nursing and rehabilitation center in Bethlehem.

Dr. Mira is part of St. Luke’s Senior Care Associates, which has offices in Bethlehem and Warren, N.J. He also practices at St. Luke’s Center for Positive Aging, St. Luke’s North, 153 Brodhead Road, Bethlehem.

“In geriatrics, our goal is to help maximize quality of life for the aging as well as their families and caregivers, even as they experience complex health issues,” Dr. Mira said.

Mira graduated from medical school at Al-Azhar University in Medicine. He completed a geriatrics fellowship in Geriatrics at Oakwood Hospital and a fellowship in infectious diseases at East Tennessee State University. His clinical interests include memory disorders and debility in older adults.
