Zion’s Union Church Maxatawny, 329 Church Road, Kutztown, is collecting monetary donations Nov. 27 through Dec. 4 to purchase Christmas gifts for residents of the Bethany Children’s Home.

Zion’s youth group will have its Advent Social at 7 p.m. Dec. 6.

The Sunday School’s Live Nativity will be presented 5-7:30 p.m. Dec. 10. Rain date is Dec. 11. Shows will be every half-hour with the final show at 7 p.m.

Refreshments will be served.

Ziegels Church, 9990 Ziegels Church Road, Breinigsville, will host an Advent Night of Music featuring the Hanover Woodwind Quintet led by Johanna Reisteter 7 p.m. Dec. 4.

Also featured will be selections by the Ziegels Junior, Senior and Handbell Choirs with a special appearance by Union Soundz.

The Sunday School Christmas program titled “The Not So Silent Night” will be presented 10:10-10:55 a.m. Dec. 11.

Ziegels is looking for volunteers to be a part of the live nativity 5-7 p.m. Dec. 11. To participate, call Kristin Folck at 484-860-2549.

The Ladies Aid at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1028 Church St., Fogelsville, is sponsoring a Christmas party 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 5. Everyone is invited to attend. Bring a covered dish to share.

They will be singing carols, lighting the Christmas tree on the corner of the church and there will be a special visit from St. Nick.
