Student reps report to board

Elizabeth Fornauf and Paige Stitzel gave the student report at the Nov. 16 meeting of the Northwestern Lehigh School Board.

The update focused heavily on sports.

They told the board the football team placed second at the Eastern Conference championships.

Field hockey qualified for District XI and made it to the semifinal round and cheering placed second at Colonial League competition.

Boys cross-country placed fourth in districts and second at league competition. Phil Castrine and Robbie Leiser qualified for the state meet.

Girls cross-country placed fourth in districts and second at leagues. Maddie Consuelos and Molly Tarvin qualified for states.

Boys soccer won league and district titles and made state finals.

A winter sports meeting was held to kick off the winter season.

The fall play scheduled for 7 p.m. Dec. 1-3 is “Elf the Musical Jr.,” with Adam Lebrecht as Buddy.

The Key Club Blood Drive was a success with many first time donors.

In closing, they told the board, National Honor Society inducted 47 juniors and five seniors.
