FIRST FRIDAY

The business community in Emmaus will hold its annual First Friday in December in Emmaus Christmas shopping extravaganza Dec. 2. This event has become a Lehigh Valley favorite. For shoppers, it means extended store hours, a variety of unique sales and promotions, drinks and refreshments.

Participating in the First Friday in December event are: Amber Connection, Big Red Barn, Conversational Threads, Emmaus Jewel Shop, Emmaus Run Inn, House Splendid, Knauss Homestead Preservation Society, La Belle Cuisine-Fine Cookware, Let’s Play Books, 187 Rue Principale and Tangent Gifts.

House of Metalworks will host a leather artist who will make snowflake ornaments.

From 4 to 9 p.m. the Emmaus Historical Society will feature Christmas displays, including the recently expanded train putz and trolley. Refreshments will be on hand and be sure to say hello to Santa and Mrs. Clause.

The Emmaus Moravian Church carolers will begin singing the music of the season 6:30 p.m.

All participating businesses will be identified with outdoor luminaries set in front of their businesses.
