As a state police helicopter circled tightly overhead, State Police Troop L, Hamburg, Kempton Fire Company’s quick response truck, a Kutztown Ambulance and a large group of people gathered around 1 p.m. on Nov. 12 in the parking area off the 3200 block of Route 737, Kempton.
According to Public Information Office Trooper David Boehm, Troop L, state police were assisting Exeter Township police locate a juvenile female who went missing from that municipality the day before.
Exeter Township Police Chief Christopher Neidert, on Nov. 14, referred The Press to state police for information on the incident.
Boehm spoke with The Press on Monday.
He said the girl’s phone was pinged off a tower near the Pinnacle hiking area.
Boehm said the girl was found by a family friend in Windsor Township, Berks County, inside her vehicle near the Pinnacle,
After being located, she was transported to an area hospital, Boehm said.
