Northampton Area High School Theatre Company will present “It’s a Wonderful Life” 7 p.m. Nov. 17-19 in the auditorium of the high school, 1619 Laubach Ave., Northampton.

Based on Frank Capra’s classic film, this adaptation by Doug Rand remains true to its origins, according to Ann Savkova, director.

NAHS senior Nick Longenbach will play the role of George Bailey, made famous by Jimmy Stewart. Maya Costanzo, also a senior, will star as his wife, Mary.

The story follows disillusioned George Bailey, as Clarence, his guardian angel, helps him learn the true value of his ordinary existence.

The play brings back all of the favorite characters - from Bert the cop and Ernie the cab driver to beloved Uncle Billy and Mr. Martini.
