Reported by a resident in the 5300 block of Macungie Mountain Road, Upper Milford Township, an unknown actor entered the residence and removed several pieces of costume jewelry between Sept. 27 and 30.
A 17-year-old male, of Whitehall, was charged with theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and theft from a motor vehicle after a 2014 Chevrolet Equinox was taken from a residence in the 300 block of Sequoia Drive, Lower Macungie Township between 10 p.m. July 16 and 6 a.m. July 17. According to police, additional vehicles were entered in the area and items were removed. The stolen vehicle was recovered and DNA evidence linked the teen to the theft. Charges were filed Sept. 7 in the Lehigh Count Juvenile Court.
William Joseph Wassel, 42, of Coaldale, was charged with retail theft after he allegedly was stopped by loss prevention personnel at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 3:14 p.m. Oct. 18 when he exited the store without paying for items. Charges were filed.
Reported by store personnel of Giant Food Stores, 7150 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors removed various items from the store and fled the store without paying full retail value 9:24 p.m. Oct. 18.
A 37-year-old female, of Coaldale, entered Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township and selected and removed $96.04 worth of merchandise and left the store without paying 4:25 p.m. Oct. 15. The investigation continues.
Kristyn Marie Frank, 34, of Allentown, was taken into custody and cited for retail theft after she allegedly failed to ring up 18 items in her shopping cart in the self-checkout lane while at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 3:20 p.m. Oct. 15. The merchandise was valued at $127.29. A citation was issued.
Brian Woods, 51, of Tamaqua, was charged with public drunkenness after he was seen in a parking lot in the area of 7150 Hamilton Blvd., 7:20 p.m. Oct. 18 while allegedly under the influence of alcohol. Charges were filed.
Latoya Shirrell Palmer, 31, of Allentown, was charged with allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol after a traffic stop at the intersection of Alburtis Road and Route 100, Lower Macungie Township, 11:15 p.m. Sept. 29. Charges were filed.
Reported by two residents in the 1000 block of Hillview Road, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors removed political signs from lawns between 11 p.m. Oct. 13 and 1:30 a.m. Oct. 15.
Reported at BMS Logistics, 8018 Quarry Road, Alburtis, unknown actors removed a cellphone from a restroom between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Oct. 4.
Reported by a resident in the 2000 block of Route 100 South, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors removed Halloween decorations from the front yard overnight Oct. 13.
Reported by a custodian at Wescosville Elementary School, 1064 Liberty Lane, Lower Macungie Township, five skylights were discovered broken after two unknown actors climbed onto the roof of the school between 4:30 and 9:30 p.m. Oct. 14. The damage was reported to police Oct. 17.
Emmanuel Emerson Grandel, 28, of Newark, N.J., was charged with disorderly conduct after he allegedly threw tools from his vehicle during a road rage incident along Interstate 78, eastbound, near exit 60, Lower Macungie Township, 2 p.m. Oct. 13.
Roberto Suriel, 32, of Allentown, was charged with allegedly possessing a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop along Hamilton Boulevard, south of Brookside Road, Lower Macungie Township, 12:49 a.m. Oct. 21. Charges were filed.
April Surbano Escueta, 20, of Emmaus, was charged with allegedly possessing a small amount of marijuana after a traffic stop on South Cedar Crest Boulevard at North Street in Emmaus borough, 11:48 p.m. Sept. 26. Charges were filed.
Reported by a resident in the 6000 block of Shady Drive, Lower Milford Township, unknown actors opened two separate Verizon Wireless accounts in the resident’s name using her personal information without her authorization or knowledge. The account balances totaled $4,307 which was billed to the resident. The investigation is continuing.
