During a special meeting of the Salisbury School Board held Oct. 31, board members made a motion and then voted to approve Joseph D. Gnall as the replacement for former board member Dr. Christopher Spedaliere who vacated the seat Oct. 19, after serving since 2013.

Gnall will serve out the remainder of Spedaliere’s term.

Ziegler also made a recommendation to approve Jennifer Sheeto for the position of full-time psychologist at the elementary school level with a prorated salary of $64,468 for the school year.

The board approved both recommendations and Jacobi and Sheeto are slated to start their employment at the district after they complete their respective requirements for hire.

After swearing in Gnall and approving the motions to hire Jacobi and Sheeto. Superintendent Dr. Randy Ziegenfuss introduced Jacobi to the board. Jacobi, stated Ziegenfuss, comes to the district with a “vast amount of experience in the field of education of special education and the board is excited for her to join the team.”

“I’m very excited to join the team,” Jacobi said, and thanked the board for the opportunity.
