Marie C. Embon, 76, of Allentown, died Nov. 4, 2016, in Lehigh Valley Hospital. She and her husband, Frank C. Embon, celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary in October.

Born in Allentown, the youngest of eight children, she was a daughter of the late Leopold and Eleanor (Krenn) Strobel.

She attended St. Catherine of Siena School and Allentown Central Catholic High School where she graduated from the commercial program in 1957.

She was a secretary at PP&L for six years.

A member of St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church, she was a volunteer for its school lunch program.

She was also a member of the Young Women’s Club of Allentown and the Jaycee Wives of Allentown.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters Christine M. of Allentown, Jennifer L. Saturno of Baltimore Md.; sons Gregory F. of Allentown, Brian M. of San Diego Calif.; granddaughter Kaley Embon; brothers Edward and Walter of Allentown, James of Pottstown; sister Margaret Bearish of Emmaus.

She was predeceased by a brother, Raymond, and sisters Eleanor Dietz and Irene Kutish.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Nov. 12 at the church, 1040 Flexer Ave., Allentown.

Call 10 a.m. until the Mass at church and from 7-9 p.m. Friday in Stephens Funeral Home Inc., 274 N. Krocks Road, Allentown.

Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, 547 N. Krocks Road.
