The Harry S Truman Elementary School book fair is in full swing. It runs through Nov. 4. There will be evening shopping hours for parents and their children 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 3.
HST and Western Salisbury Elementary School will have an early dismissal 11:15 a.m. Nov. 4. Salisbury Middle School and Salisbury High School will dismiss 10:45 a.m. Nov. 7.
Students in fifth grade at HST will invite their parents and guardians to lunch Nov. 7. Paperwork has already been sent home. Be sure to respond if you plan to attend, so the school can ensure enough seating.
The next meeting for the operations committee of the school board will be held 7 p.m. Nov. 7 in the administration building.
All Salisbury Township schools will be closed for a professional development day Nov. 8. This is also Election Day so remember to exercise your right to vote.
SHS Theatre will present William Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night” Nov. 10 through 13. Tickets are available by calling 610-797-4107, ext. 2508.
The Salisbury Twirlers are sponsoring a designer purse and Longaberger basket bingo Nov. 13. Doors open noon with bingo starting 1 p.m. Tickets are available from Michelle Byrne at 610-657-2567.
The second annual community breakfast at SHS will be held 9 to 11 a.m. Nov. 19. Breakfast will include pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, coffee and juices. There is no cost for this community event; however, reservations are required. RSVP online at stsd.org/breakfast no later than Nov. 15.
The Franko Farm yard waste drop-off site will be open 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 8 and 12.
