A 24-year-old New Tripoli woman was injured when she was struck by vehicle just before 3 a.m. Oct. 30 while crossing the street in the area of 7234 Decatur St., Lynn Township.

State Police Troop M Fogelsville say two witnesses said the woman was a passenger in their vehicle.

Police say she exited the vehicle on the driver’s side, ran around the front of the vehicle to cross the street, at which time she was struck by a car traveling north on Decatur Street.

The car is described as gray in color, possibly mid 2000s-style Chevrolet sedan, bearing a Pennsylvania license plate, police say.

Police say the driver of vehicle failed to stop and fled north on Decatur Street toward Route 309.

The woman was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, for treatment of her injuries.
