The Salisbury cross country teams competed in last week’s District 11 Championship Meet at Bethlehem Municipal Golf Course.
The Falcon boys team finished in 16th place at the meet, while the Salisbury girls had only two runners, which is not enough to score as a team.
The top finisher for Salisbury was Brooke Rogers, who placed 62nd in the girls race in a time of 23:15. Teammate Ruby Wiener placed 74th at the meet.
For the Falcon boys team, Bryce Kimmey and Michael Sosnowski finished back-to-back in 71st and 72nd place, respectively. The rest of Salisbury’s top five included Cole Warmkessle (86th), Joseph Busolits (97th) and Logan Vitalos (106th). Zachary Peace (109th) and Nathan Reed (116th) were also part of the Falcons’ district team.
The Class 2A boys race was won by Saucon Valley’s Ethan Bernstein in 16:55, while Notre Dame (Green Pond) won the boys team title over second-place North Schuylkill.
In Class 2A girls, Central Catholic’s Emily Deschler took first place to lead the Vikettes to the team title over second-place Bethlehem Catholic.
