Unknown actors vandalized two separate residences in the 5000 block of Wheatland Drive, in Upper Milford Township, overnight Oct. 22.
The houses are in the neighborhood of U.S. Sen. Pat Toomey. Toomey, a Republican, is seeking re-election.
The vandalism was political in nature and referenced Toomey.
“I am sickened by this disgusting, politically-inspired hatred. It has no place in a civilized society. My neighbors are wonderful people who deserve much better. I hope the cowardly criminals who did this are apprehended and punished,” Toomey commented in a statement emailed to The Press.
According to a press release from Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville, the damage happened between 8 p.m. Oct. 22 and 9 a.m. Oct. 23.
