George C. Loeffler, 85, of Albany Township, died Oct. 28, 2016, at his home. He was the husband of Barbara B. (Bowen) Loeffler. They were married 61 years. Born in South Orange, N.J., he was a son of the late George J. and Ethel P. (Wessel) Loeffler.
He was a member of Saint Anne’s Episcopal Church, Trexlertown. He was a deacon and previously served as the Bishop’s Chaplain for many years and was a member of the choir.
A graduate of Lehigh University, Bethlehem, he received a bachelor’s degree in physics. He was employed as an engineer for Bell Laboratories, first in Murray Hill, N.J., then Allentown, until his retirement in 1989.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Ann L. and her husband Grant L. Kotz, of Alburtis and Carol C., of Carlisle, Cumberland County; two granddaughters, Sharon L. Kotz and Laura B. Kotz.

A memorial Eucharist will be celebrated 7 p.m. Nov. 2 in Saint Anne’s Episcopal Church, 6667 Lower Macungie Road, Trexlertown, 18087.
