City Limits Assembly of God, 302 Ridge Ave., Allentown, will host its annual Thanksgiving turkey and food giveaway 6 p.m. Nov. 22.

Free turkeys and food will be given away on a first-come, first-served basis.

There will also be light refreshments served to those who wait ahead of time. Doors open 6 p.m. One voucher will be given per family. Adults must be present with minors under age 18.

City Limits Assembly of God is a culturally diverse, inner-city church founded by Pastor Jimmie Rivera in 1993.

The church is dedicated to reaching out and meeting the material as well as the spiritual needs of the community through various outreaches throughout the year.

Some of these programs include the Christmas Tree Outreach where several hundred free Christmas trees are given away along with bikes and food.

During the summer outreach, an entire week is dedicated to building relationships with the community, providing free groceries and bottled water and inviting community members to a free block party during the week.
