State Police Troop M Bethlehem are investigating a forgery that occurred 1:36 p.m. Aug. 29 at Lehigh Valley Signs, 5812 Walter Road, Heidelberg Township.

The investigation has determined the forgery to have been part of an Internet check scam, police say.

According to police, this business was listed on fraudulent checks in response to Internet for sale ads.

State Police Troop M Fogelsville say Joseph William Woomer, 48, of Emmaus, was cited for harassment after he allegedly harassed and pulled a 37-year-old New Tripoli woman’s hair after hugging her 12:30 a.m. Oct. 18 at 6814 Donats Peak Road, New Tripoli.

Police say Woomer denies the action and a non-traffic citation was filed against him with District Judge Rod Beck, Slatington.
