Oct. 26 District 11 playoff wrap
District 11 held playoffs in field hockey and volleyball Wednesday.
Below are scores from the Lehigh Valley Press coverage area teams that competed.
Class 3A
Whitehall-Northampton
The No. 5 seed Zephyrs beat the No. 4 seed Konkrete Kids 4-2.
Emily Wells scored two goals for Whitehall (12-6), while teammates Kylee Cunningham and Kate Bonshak had one each. Rachel Schannauer had a pair of assists for the Zephs.
Northampton’s goals were scored by Anna Filchner and Emily Henry, with an assist from Morgan Mullen. Goalkeeper Ashley Kunsman made 10 saves for the Kids (13-5).
Whitehall will take on top-seeded Emmaus in Monday’s semifinals.

Parkland-Stroudsburg
The No. 2 seed Mountaineers beat the No. 7 Trojans 1-0 in overtime.
Julianna Sweeney scored the game-winning goal less than two minutes into the first 7-on-7 overtime period with an assist from Lizzy Cunningham.
The Mounties (20-2) had 13 corners in the second half, but Parkland goalkeeper Brie Baracco and the Trojan defense kept the Mounties scoreless in regulation.
Stroudsburg moves on to face No. 6 Easton in a semifinal game slated for Monday.
Pocono Mountain East-Emmaus
The top-seeded Hornets beat the Cardinals 9-1.
Meredith Sholder had four goals and an assist for Emmaus (22-0). Leah Zellner had two goals and an assist. Kayla Kristhardt and Madison Orobono had one goal each. Kira Koehler and Madalyn Dorn each had a pair of assists and Kacie Patton had one assist.
The Hornets will face Whitehall in Monday’s semifinals.
Liberty-Easton
The No. 6 seed Red Rovers beat the No. 3 seed Hurricanes 3-1.
Easton will take on Stroudsburg in Monday’s semifinals.
Class 2A
Salisbury-Bangor
The top-seeded Slaters beat No. 4 Salisbury 9-1.
Cheyenne Ott scored three goals for Bangor (17-3) and assisted on two others, while teammates Carly Amerman and Montana Ott scored two each. Alyson Kiss had three assists in the game.
Katie Rutt scored for Salisbury (2-16) with an assist from Madison Jewell. Falcon goal keeper Peyton Stauffer had 25 saves.
The Slaters will face No. 2 seed Southern Lehigh in the district championship game.
Class A
Northwestern-Northern Lehigh
The Tigers’ Allison Costa scored in the first 7-on-7 overtime period to give No. 5 seed Northwestern a 1-0 win over the No. 4 Bulldogs (10-8-1).
The Tigers (10-7-1) move on to face top-seeded Moravian Academy in a semifinal on Monday.
GIRLS VOLLEYBALL
Class 3A
Bethlehem Catholic-Southern Lehigh
The Golden Hawks beat the Spartans 3-0 (25-15, 25-23, 25-21).
Rachel Tanczos had seven kills for Beca. Savanna Jordan had 33 assists and Maddie Kiser had 25 digs.
The No. 5 seed Hawks move on to face top-seeded Blue Mountain Tuesday in a quarterfinal match at Whitehall.
