Cetronia Ambulance Corps, South Whitehall Township, recently announced as part of the continued growth of the six-decade-old organization, it has named a director of education and a new director of marketing and public relations.

In addition, three new board members have been added to create a more diverse set of ideas and expertise to help Cetronia Ambulance continue to thrive.

Cetronia’s nationally registered emergency medical technician paramedic Stephen Hall, of Saylorsburg, in June was promoted to the newly created position of director of education.

Hall has been with Cetronia since 2012 and has been in emergency medical services since 2007.

He was a president’s honor list student and graduate of Delaware County Community College, where he completed a degree in applied health science and advanced medical life support.

Hall recently received the Pennsylvania Star of Life Award as well as the Pennsylvania EMS for Children’s Amanda Wertz Award for his work in pediatrics.

Among the duties in his new role, Hall conducts instructor certification courses that include courses in basic life support, advanced cardiovascular life support, pediatric advanced life support and emergency vehicle operators.

Hall also is the child seat safety coordinator for Cetronia, offered in partnership with Lehigh Valley Health Network.

“Being on staff at Cetronia Ambulance Corps allows me the opportunity to do what I love, while giving back to my community,” Hall said.

Jennifer Glose, of Upper Macungie Township, was hired as Cetronia’s new director of marketing and public relations.

Glose is most known for her previous work as a staff reporter for Lehigh Valley Business, Bethlehem, and she also has made a footprint in the community with the charity events she creates and implements every other year to help raise funds and awareness for various cancers.

Glose is a communications graduate of Cedar Crest College, where she was named communications student of the year.

In 2015, Glose was nominated for the Athena Young Professional Award by the Women’s Business Council of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, and earlier this year she was the featured ‘Volunteer Spotlight’ on an episode of ASR Media Productions’ The PEAK TV on WFMZ-TV.

“This role could not match more perfectly my calling of community stewardship and passion for networking and building relationships,” Glose said. “I am best at telling the stories of the great work that is happening right here in our community, and I am beyond excited to do just that for Cetronia.”

In an effort to make Cetronia’s board of directors more robust, earlier this year the organization appointed new board members Christine Duborg, director, corporate responsibility for Olympus Corporation of the Americas, Upper Saucon Township, and Christopher Lakatosh, principal and senior consultant for Cornerstone Benefits Inc., Bethlehem.

Sarah Jolly, associate attorney for Gross, McGinley LLP, Allentown, also joined the Cetronia board.

“My career at Olympus and my lifelong desire to help others has led me to this position where I can positively impact the community and contribute to saving lives,” Duborg said.

Larry Wiersch, chief executive officer of Cetronia Ambulance Corps, is proud of the additions to the organization’s administrative staff and to the board.

I could not be prouder of the excellent business professionals we have added to the already strong community bench strength within the leaders of our organization,” Wiersch said. “Our strongest asset is our people and these additions will continue to make us stronger in service each and every day.”

Cetronia Ambulance Corps, a nonprofit corporation, provides emergency and non-emergency ambulance care and transportation, community educational services and medical paratransit transportation, covering 150 square miles of the Lehigh Valley.

It is the region’s only ambulance service that is nationally accredited by the Commission on the Accreditation of Ambulance Services, and Cetronia has the only High Performance Emergency Medical Services System in the region and is one of only eight within the state.
