It’s OK to peek in the trunks at St. John’s UCC treat night

Upper Macungie Township has partnered with Brian Kresge to host pickup basketball 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursdays until Nov. 19 at Jaindl Elementary School.

Pickup volleyball with Rich Kiser is being offered 8-10 p.m. Tuesdays until March 29 at Fogelsville Elementary School, Route 100.

Upper Macungie’s Trick or Treat Night will be celebrated from 6-8 p.m. Oct. 28.

St. John’s United Church of Christ, 1027 Church St., Fogelsville, will have its annual trunk-or treat in the Strohl’s parking lot from 6-8 p.m. Oct. 28.

They are also looking for more people to participate in the event.

Parkland Community Library, 4422 Walbert Ave., South Whitehall, will be celebrating Winnie The Pooh’s birthday with an afternoon of his classic stories 1 p.m. Oct. 14 for kids ages 3-5.

The library will host its brown bag classics with the showing of “White Heat” at 1 p.m. Oct. 17.

Bring a bag lunch. Beverages will be provided.

The library’s Book Quest for adults will be 7 p.m. Oct. 18 to discuss the novel “Prep” by Curtis Sittenfeld.

Tinkerlab for kids in kindergarten through fifth grade is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Oct. 18.

Explore the library’s Little Bits electronic building blocks and Ozobots, small toy robots.

Teen Thursday, at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 20, invites teens to come play the games at the library.

Baby time for children age birth to 2 years old is set for 10:30 a.m. Oct. 24.

Enjoy stories and some rhymes before playtime.

Toddler story time for children 18 months to 3 years and their caregivers will be 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 20, 26 and 27.

Preschool story time for children ages 3-5 will be held at 1 p.m. Oct. 20, 26 and 27.

Kids come and explore your favorite picture books at this interactive story time.

Come and join the new senior art project club “Artsy” 1:30 p.m. Oct. 24.

All are invited to join the library’s writing workshop “What’s Your Story” 3 p.m. Oct. 25.

The workshop is designed to help writers write their memoirs.

The Joy of Coloring class will be 3 p.m. on Oct. 26. The library will provide the coloring pages and pencils.

Bring your knitting supplies and join fellow knitters at the Knitting Circle meeting 2 p.m. Oct. 27.

Spend an afternoon swapping knitting tips and tricks.

The library will be hosting a “You Only Die Once” live murder mystery complete with props, prizes and costumes presented by Victorian Vanities 7 p.m. Oct. 27.

Registration is needed to attend all events, except Tinkerlab and Toddler Story Time.

All these events are free and will be held at the library.
