There will be a Northampton Area High School DECA community service project Oct. 15 - the Howloween 5-K dog walk and run. It will be held at Saylor Park, 245 N. Second St., Coplay, with registration beginning 8:30 a.m. and the race starting 9:30 a.m.

All participants are encouraged to dress in costumes and bring their dogs.

The top three male and female finishers will receive a medal.

Proceeds will benefit Peaceable Kingdom and Ironton Rail Trail.

The Northampton Area High School PTSA meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Oct. 19 and will be held at the high school.

Picture retake day for high school students will be Oct. 20.

The Box Tops for Education program is underway in the elementary schools. Box Tops can be found on many different products. Simply cut out the Box Tops and send them to school with your child. Each Box Top earns money for the schools.

Join your PTAs! Parents, family and friends are encouraged to become a member of any of the Northampton Area School District PTAs. The PTAs, along with generous volunteers and memberships, help support many activities and special programs for students.

Please consider completing and returning the membership forms that have been sent home with your child.
