Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) and Schuylkill Health System have merged effective Sept. 16. Schuylkill Health System becomes part of Lehigh Valley Health Network. The two Pottsville hospitals are now be called Lehigh Valley Hospital - Schuylkill E. Norwegian Street and Lehigh Valley Hospital - Schuylkill S. Jackson Street.

William Reppy is new president of Lehigh Valley Hospital - Schuylkill. Reppy is vice president of operations and chief safety officer at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Hazleton.

Brian A. Nester, DO, MBA, FACOEP, LVHN president and chief executive officer, said, “This new arrangement with a longtime partner allows LVHN to grow services, improve technology and recruit physicians and other medical professionals to the Pottsville and Schuylkill County community.”

Marc H. Lory, appointed interim president and chief executive officer at Schuylkill Health System in October 2014, is a consultant to Reppy.
