Several Lehigh Valley Press area teams were in action Thursday. Here’s a roundup of all scores that were reported to the Press. For more about your local teams see next week’s Lehigh Valley Press.
GIRLS VOLLEYBALL
Northampton-Parkland
The Trojans beat the Konkrete Kids 3-0 (25-3, 25-8, 25-15).
Sam Graver led Parkland with 14 kills. Morgan Sherwin had 21 assists, 11 digs and seven kills. Megan Shaw (10 digs, nine assists), Paige Konsko (21 service points, seven digs) and Abby Giacobbe (five digs) also contributed to the Trojan win.
Parkland won the JV game 2-1 (35-33, 12-25, 15-7).
Bethlehem Catholic-Freedom
The Golden Hawks beat the Patriots.
Julia Roman had 15 digs and five kills for Freedom, while teammates Bailey Silfies (five kills, five service points) and Courtney Turocy (11 assists, seven digs) also contributed for the Pates.
Emmaus-Nazareth
The Hornets beat the Blue Eagles 3-0 (29-27, 25-17, 25-20).
Alyson Bohman had 13 kills and eight blocks for Emmaus. Alyson Bond had 10 kills and five blocks. Tiffany Hoppes had 11 digs and Macy Van Den Elzen had eight kills five blocks and four digs.
Nazareth was led by Sam Wegener ‘s 12 kills, five digs and four aces.
Northwestern-Saucon Valley
The Panthers beat the Tigers 3-0.
No other information about the game was received by the Press.
Catasauqua-Notre Dame (Green Pond)
The Crusaders beat the Rough Riders 3-0 (25-7, 25-7, 25-10).
Bridget Crimi led Notre Dame with eight assists and four kills.
FIELD HOCKEY
Freedom-Easton
The Red Rovers beat the Patrios 10-0.
Hanna Wieller, Hailey Couch and Ellie McIntyer each had three goals for Easton.
GIRLS SOCCER
Bangor-Salisbury
The Falcons beat the Slaters 2-0.
Caylin Meikrantz and Erica Holben scored goals, while Kyra Bruns and Paige Nicholas picked up assists.
Northwestern-Northern Lehigh
Northwestern cruised to an 8-2 Colonial League victory over Northern Lehigh.
Jessica Williamson had four goals for the Tigers, while Abigail Chisdak scored twice.
Northwestern, which had a 26-7 advantage in shots, also received goals from Sara Hathaway and Margaret Motolese.
Jill Olewine and Karlyna Kemery scored for the Bulldogs.
Lehighton-Catasauqua
Catasauqua handed Lehighton a 3-1 nonleague defeat.
Rajah Quinones scored in the second half for the Indians.
For Catty, which finished with a 31-18 advantage in shots, Hanasia Jenkins had two goals.
BOYS SOCCER
Whitehall-Emmaus
The Hornets beat the Zephyrs 2-1.
Kacper Grycel and Noah Bacon scored for Emmaus, while Dakota Bauer had an assist.
Whitehall’s goal was scored by Aziz Atiyeh. Zephyr goal keeper Bailey Luckenbull stopped seven shots.
Salisbury-Bangor
The Falcons’ Patrick Adams scored four first-half goals, all assisted by James Hadinger, in a 6-0 win over the Slaters.
Prince Radande and Kevon Mitchell scored second-half goals for Salisbury, while Tazid Darwasher and Collin Fairchild picked up assists.
Tyler Keller stopped five Bangor shots to earn the shut out. The Slaters’ Tommy Devine made six saves.
Northern Lehigh-Northwestern
Northwestern used four second-half goals to pull away from Northern Lehigh for a 5-0 Colonial League win.
Jonathan Blaine, Samuel Seyfried, Noah Seng-DeLong and Bryce Hurdle recorded goals after the intermission.
Kenneth Gawelko scored in the first half for the Tigers, who had a dominating 26-0 advantage in shots on goal.
