FATAL ACCIDENT

A Macungie man has died after a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Brookside Road and Princeton Road, Lower Macungie Township, Sept. 27.

Yoong K. Kim, 74, was taken to Lehigh Valley Health Network, Salisbury Township, by Macungie EMS after the accident. He died Sept. 29, according to a press release.

According to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville, Kim’s vehicle was stopped at the stop sign on Princeton Road, facing east at the intersection with Brookside Road, 5:09 p.m. Sept. 27. A pickup truck driven by Michael D. Mory, 63, of Zionsville, was traveling south on Brookside Road.

Kim allegedly failed to yield to oncoming traffic and moved into the intersection where the vehicles collided.

Mory was not injured.

The Lower Macungie Fire Department also responded.
