Robert “Bob” D. Deifer, 63, of Danielsville and formerly of Coplay, died Sept. 24, 2016, in Philadelphia. He was the companion of Marion Rapp.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Raymond W. and Virginia (Hock) Deifer.

He was an electrical superintendent for 12 years for McWane Ductile and an electrician for 18 years for Mack Trucks.

He founded the Coplay newsletter and was a Coplay Borough Council member. He was one of the first adopters of the Bulletin Board Systems.

In addition to his partner, he is survived by a daughter, Lynda; a son, Matthew; three brothers, Donald and his wife Shirley, Gerald Deifer and Barry Deifer; and two grandchildren, Logan and Tyson.
