Upper Macungie police issued an important safety reminder for township residents.
Police remind residents of the importance of securing their homes and garages while they are away.
With school activities once again starting, families tend to get busy, and sometimes that can lead to mistakingly leaving a door unsecured during the day or a garage door open when going to bed.
Officers don’t want you or any of your family members to be victimized, so they ask that you do your best to “slow your roll” during your school or work week.
Take the time to double check doors and windows and make sure they are properly secured.
Do a double check before going to bed that garage doors are locked and any vehicles outside are also secured and valuables are either removed or hidden.
