The Young Musicians of the Allentown Music Club recital 2 p.m. at the Fellowship Community Center. The event is open to kids six to 18 who are currently studying with a private teacher and wish to showcase their talents on a musical instrument and/or voice. Allentown AARP Chapter #5415 will meet at St. Timothy’s Church, 140 S. Ott St. Allentown. Social hour with refreshments begin noon. Dr. Marc Berson will speak 1 p.m. followed by a business meeting. Annual meeting of the Friends of the Emmaus Public Library 7 p.m. in the Margaret Knoll Gardner Room of the library. Attendees will review the year’s highlights and programs captured on a slide presentation created by Krista Pegnetter, library director and vote on making the annual gift. This year the Friends will donate $17,000 to help support library operations. Light refreshments will be served following the meeting.

Old Zionsville UCC will conduct a blood drive with the Miller Keystone Bloodmobile 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome. Registration is available at www.giveapint.org. Donors are asked to eat a good breakfast before giving blood.

Craft bazaar at Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Quarry Road, Alburtis, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Crafts, attic treasures, gift basket auction, bake sale and food will be available.

Opioid and heroin epidemic seminar 3 p.m. at Emmanuel Church, 1431 Lehigh Parkway East, Allentown. The presenters will be members of Heroin Opioid Prevention and Education, the Salisbury Police Department, Teen Challenge and a parent who lost a child to drugs. Tobacco and alcohol abuse will also be addressed. A question and answer session with all the speakers will follow the presentation. There is no cost for this community event. The Hivel Und Dahl Preservation Society will sponsor a bus tour to see eight homes in the central section of the Lehigh County Log Cabin Trail. There is a cost which includes transportation, hot dogs and beverages upon return.
