Sheckler Elementary School students will have a Think First Anti-Bullying Assembly Sept. 22.
The school has a Think First Program in place which uses a card system to remind students about maintaining positive behavior at school.
The student starts each day with a green card that may be flipped to a yellow warning card or a red card, based on the behavior they have exhibited throughout the day.
Students who maintain positive behavior for the month are then invited to participate in a monthly reward that is offered for those students. They are also acknowledged in two assemblies held throughout the year where they are honored for “thinking first.”

Grade-level box-top totals to date are: kindergarten, 832; first grade, 937; second grade, 1,115; third grade, 1,190; and fourth grade 882.
Way to go! Remember to continue sending in those box tops and let’s help the students turn trash into cash for their school.
