Agape New Testament to present the story of ‘Ruth’
Agape New Testament Fellowship, 5229 Route 873, Schnecksville, will present the Biblical story, “Ruth,” filmed in high definition before a live audience at Sight and Sound theater.
The showing will be at 7 p.m. Sept. 28.
Set to an original musical score, the story follows the journey of Ruth and Naomi, two destitute widows whose faith in God and in each other ignites a chain of events that changed history.

The Youth Group of Union Lutheran Church, Schnecksville, invites all young people in seventh grade and older to join together for fun and fellowship 10:15 a.m. Sundays.
The youth worked during the summer to transform their room into the Christ Cafe!
They built wood pallet furniture, tie-dyed sheets for curtains and cushions, and began painting murals on canvas to decorate the walls.
They also purchased colorful, comfortable chairs.
Some of the events for the forthcoming year include Night on the Move, retreats, Youth Sunday, concerts and an Italian dinner.
According to the youth, “We are still a work in progress, so this is the perfect time to join us. Bring your ideas, and we will bring the smoothies.”

Schnecksville Fire Company will have its first buffet breakfast of the season 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Sept. 25.
Union United Church of Christ, Neffs, will be hosting a basket social Oct. 5, in Fellowship Hall.
Doors open 5:30 p.m. Social begins at 7 p.m.
Hot dogs, soda, and baked goods will be available.
Tickets come on a sheet of 25.

Children’s church has begun a new season at Union UCC during the 10:30 a.m. worship time.
After a children’s message during the service, 3-year-olds through sixth graders depart for a large group lesson, songs and prayer in another room.
They then move to grade-level classrooms for age-appropriate activities.
Children’s church uses the WHIRL lectionary curriculum which includes videos and leaflets with ideas to explore with parents during the week.
Parents meet children at the classrooms after the worship service ends.
