A 39-year-old man, of Newark, N.J., was charged with driving under the influence and other charges after a traffic stop along Interstate 78 westbound at mile marker 56.0, Salisbury Township, 3:19 a.m. Aug. 31. Charges were filed.

A 70-year-old man, of Deerfield Beach, Fla., was cited for speeding after his tractor trailer truck struck another tractor trailer truck along Interstate 78, Salisbury Township, 11:47 a.m. Aug. 1.

According to police, the truck was eastbound approaching mile marker 55.6. The driver was allegedly traveling too fast for conditions on the wet roadway and attempted to swerve onto the shoulder of the road to avoid striking slowing vehicles. The driver lost control of his truck and the truck began to jackknife. The truck struck the trailer of a nearby tractor trailer truck driven by a 45-year-old man, of Lawrenceville, Ga.
