Lower Macungie Middle School was under a lockdown Sept. 21. State police and administration investigated the discovery of one empty shell casing found inside of the school building. State police determined there is no threat to student safety and the lockdown has been lifted. Classes have resumed and regular dismissal procedures will remain in effect.
