Gregory Jan Cichocki, 72, of Salisbury Township, died peacefully Sept. 3, 2016. He was the husband of Camela (Savarino) Cichocki. They were married 43 years. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, he was a son of Stephen and Frances (Perka) Cichocki.

He attended Garfield Heights High School and Bowling Green State University.

He proudly served his country as a U.S. Army Reservist, earning the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was a Vietnam veteran, who served with the 1002nd Supply and Service Company.

He was a vice president and merchandise manager for H. Leh & Company and Jones Apparel Group.

He had a passion for playing, watching and coaching sports, especially basketball. He loved coaching his children and their peers on the girls and boys soccer teams for St. Thomas More. He also coached baseball and basketball teams, as well as volunteered for the board of directors of the Hamilton Park Athletic Association. Additionally, he was the Mid-Atlantic Director of AAU Boys Basketball.

He played several instruments, including the clarinet and saxophone. He was a member of his high school marching band and student conductor of his high school orchestra.

He was honored to receive a special volunteering service award by the Board of Commissioners of the Township of Salisbury, Lehigh County.

He is survived by his wife; daughter, Laura and her husband John Todor and grandchildren, Abigail and Zachary, of Vienna, Va.; son, Jan-Michael and his wife Michelle Smith, of Lehigh Township; sister, Gloria Modliszewski, of Ohio.
