Lehigh Valley Active Life, 1633 W. Elm St., Allentown, will be offering the following events:
· Friday Social Line Dance, 1-2 p.m. beginner, 2-4 p.m. intermediate Sept. 16, 23, 30. This class is for beginner dancers with some dance experience and those who have attended sessions before.
Saturday dances 7:30 p.m., to 10:30 p.m. in the Trexler Room.
· Sept. 17: Steel City Band.
· Sept. 24: DJ Frantic Freddie.
Wednesday afternoon dances, 1- 4 p.m. in the Trexler Room.
· Sept. 21: King Henry and Jacob.
· Sept. 28: The Mel-O-Dee Aces.
There is a small fee per person which includes light refreshments. Singles and couples welcome.
· Through Oct. 31: Line dance classes 1:45-3:15 p.m. with instructors Ray and Myra Rosenberger.
· Sept. 21, 29: S.A.G.E. Senior Activities for Growth and Enrichment, noon to 2 p.m. with instructor Trisha Baker. This is an interactive program for mental and physical stimulation and growth for seniors.
· Sept. 19, 26: “Good Vibrations” Chorus, 9:30-11 a.m. led by Nancy Shumaker.
· Sept. 20, 27: “Latin Salsa Band” 7:30-9:30 p.m. led by Hector Rosado. Bring instruments and explore and learn Latin Salsa.
· Sept. 22, 29: “Lehigh Valley Pops” Orchestra, 9-10:30 a.m. with George Fennell, director.
· Sept. 16, 23, 30: “Jazz Band Workshop”, 9-10 a.m. led by Allan Meyerson. If you play an instrument and want to explore jazz, join them for a unique experience.
· Sept. 21: Wednesday WWII History: “Slapton’s Sands and The Leopoldville,” 2-3:30 p.m., with instructor Dr. Charles Bonos.
