An 38-year-old woman, of Allentown, was charged with speeding after a one-vehicle accident along Interstate 78, Salisbury Township, Aug. 18. According to police, the woman was westbound on Interstate 78 near mile marker 56.7 around 4:50 a.m. during a heavy rain. The woman lost control of her vehicle, slid out of control and hit a concrete barrier on the right side of the highway. The woman was transported to Lehigh Valley Health Network for treatment of her injuries. A citation for speeding was filed.
A 26-year-old man, of Selden, N.Y., was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana after a traffic stop was conducted on Interstate 78 westbound at mile marker 56.1, 2:40 a.m. Aug. 29. Police said a probable cause search was conducted after an odor of fresh marijuana was coming from the vehicle.
