The Macungie Farmers Market, located in Macungie Memorial Park, is open 4 to 7 p.m. every Thursday through October. The market features local family farmers providing homegrown food: fruits, vegetables, meat products, eggs, baked goods, plants and more. Parking is available at the park parking lot and along North Walnut Street.

It’s back to school for everyone in our family and a year of “lasts;” last semester of college, last year of high school and last year of elementary school. After five years of homeschooling, Ben made the leap to public school. He was apprehensive about the change but the first day must have gone well because, by the end of the first day of school, he was announcing to me, “You have more homework than I do!”
