Lehigh Carbon Community College’s (LCCC) Photography Club will continue its Fabulous Photographer series this semester with Joe Edelman, an award-winning advertising and editorial photographer, author, educator and model mentor. He will be presenting “The Simple Approach to Portraits That Flatter” 6 p.m. Sept. 8 in the Rothrock Library’s Alumni Center Rooms 107/108, on the main campus in Schnecksville.
The event is open to the public and free of charge.
Edelman will show how he creates flattering portraits with simple lighting and posing techniques. He will cover everything from camera and lens selection, depth of field, camera angles, composition, posing, basic lighting, backgrounds and more. His talk will include a demonstration using a model and real-time video projected for the audience so that you can see these simple techniques through the camera lens.
The LCCC Photography Club is a student-led organization dedicated to help and inspire members to grow in their photographic skills through workshops, lectures and hands-on experience. For more information, contact LCCC’s student life office at 610-799-1146.
