Elsie E. Sentiwany, 87, a longtime resident of Whitehall, died peacefully Aug. 20, 2016, in Lehigh Valley Hospice, Allentown.
Born in Coplay, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Theresa (Ressler) Deichmeister.
She and her husband, John J. Sentiwany, were married 45 years at the time of his death in 1993.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Whitehall.
Family gatherings were very important to her and she enjoyed sewing, bird watching, shopping, swimming in her pool, and reading by her wood-burning stove.
She especially enjoyed cruising, traveling to Disney World and cherishing the time she spent with family and friends.
She was a member of the former Whitehall Exchangettes and Whitehall Senior Citizens.
Earlier in life, she worked at Modern Slack Company while raising her four children.
Her survivors include daughters Kathy Pattishall and her husband, Joel, of Whitehall, and Joan Piotrowski of North Whitehall Township; sons John and his fiancée, Debra Kortvely, of Coplay, along with David and his wife, Karen (Gross) of Whitehall; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by brothers Frank, John, Fred and Danny, and an infant sister.
