U.S. Naval Academy

A 2014 graduate of Northampton Area High School, Benjamin Longacre has been named battalion sergeant major of the 3rd Battalion, Brigade of Midshipmen, at the United States Naval Academy. He is a member of the class of 2018, majoring in engineering.

The battalion sergeant major reports to the battalion commander and is responsible for executing policies and standards of the underclass, meeting with Company First sergeants to relay information and receive feedback on issues and concerns from their companies, and marching in the battalion staff at all parades, formations and march-overs.
