Holly Morin is among students to receive a scholarship from the Military Order of the Purple Heart.

Morin, of Macungie, is a sophomore at Lehigh University and is majoring in electrical engineering. Her goal is to become an ophthalmologist.

The scholarship is awarded by Chapter 190.

The Military Order of the Purple Heart Department of Pennsylvania Scholarship Program is a competitive scholarship program that awards approximately 15 scholarships to Purple Heart recipients, their spouses, children and grandchildren each year.

Morin was eligible to apply for the scholarship because she was enrolled in a university in Pennsylvania and her grandfather was a Purple Heart recipient.
